Justin Gaethje has ended Ilia Topuria’s reign as UFC Lightweight Champion at UFC Freedom 250. Gaethje, who entered the bout as a significant underdog, defied expectations with a masterful performance.
Early in the fight, Gaethje’s precise jab disrupted Topuria’s rhythm, quashing the latter’s prediction of an early knockout. While Topuria had a strong second round, landing powerful body shots and attempting a ground finish, Gaethje managed to survive the onslaught.
