Eddie Hearn, the new manager for Tom Aspinall, has publicly implored UFC President Dana White to release Aspinall from his current contract. Hearn stated that Aspinall is deeply unhappy with his UFC deal and believes he is significantly underpaid.
During an interview with IFL TV, Hearn declared his intention to offer Aspinall a contract that would pay him at least three times his current UFC earnings. “I would like Dana White to release Tom Aspinall from his UFC contract,” Hearn said. “I will guarantee that I will pay Tom Aspinall a minimum of 3 times more what Dana White is paying him. Dana White should be happy for Tom Aspinall to receive that deal. [Aspinall] is extremely unhappy… Unfortunately for him, he has signed a contract which is one of the worst, most grossly underpaid athletes I have ever seen. It’s absolutely disgusting what they’re paying him. Things need to change.”
The strained relationship between Tom Aspinall and Dana White reportedly stems from an incident involving an eye poke during Aspinall’s fight. Aspinall was reportedly displeased with White’s comments regarding his injury, and despite subsequent attempts by the UFC CEO to mend the situation, the British fighter apparently feels the lack of a personal outreach was insufficient.
Tom Aspinall Remains Unfit for Combat Training
Tom Aspinall is currently sidelined following double eye surgery. Last year, during his UFC 321 title defense against Ciryl Gane, Aspinall was poked in both eyes, forcing the bout to be declared a no-contest as he could not continue. After undergoing surgery in 2026, Aspinall has yet to be medically cleared for sparring or fighting.
In Aspinall’s absence, an interim heavyweight title bout is scheduled between Alex Pereira and Ciryl Gane for June 14. If Aspinall returns later this year, he is expected to face the interim champion in a title unification match.
