Netflix Unveils Full MVP MMA Fight Card: Rousey vs. Carano Set for May 16
Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) MMA has officially revealed the complete fight card for its highly anticipated debut event.
The promotion, spearheaded by Jake Paul and Nakisa Bidarian, is collaborating with Netflix to host its inaugural MMA spectacle on May 16th at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California. The main event features a five-round featherweight bout, marking the return of women's MMA pioneers Ronda Rousey and Gina Carano to the octagon after over a decade-long hiatus.
This MVP MMA event is promoted as a thrilling triple-header. The main card will also see the return of former UFC and PFL heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou, who is slated to fight Philipe Lins. Furthermore, ex-UFC standout Nate Diaz is making his MMA comeback after a four-year absence, taking on veteran welterweight Mike Perry.
Star-Studded Lineup Confirmed for Netflix's First MMA Event
MVP further expanded its May 16th debut event with eight additional matchups, bringing the total number of fights to eleven.
The expanded lineup includes the return of former UFC heavyweight champion Junior dos Santos, who will compete against Olympic bronze medalist Robelis Despaigne. Undefeated flyweight Muhammad Mokaev is scheduled to clash with former ONE champion Adriano Moraes, and former Bellator welterweight titleholder Jason Jackson will battle veteran Lorenz Larkin.
