Mantas Kondratavičius Dominates Antonio Trócoli with Brutal Elbow at UFC London
In his highly anticipated Octagon debut at UFC London, middleweight prospect Mantas Kondratavičius secured a significant victory over Antonio Trócoli.
The fight began with Kondratavičius pressing the action, landing early strikes before Trócoli responded by initiating a clinch against the fence to control the pace. Kondratavičius quickly reversed the position, though offensive output from both fighters remained limited until the closing moments of the first round. Trócoli connected with a powerful right hand, but Kondratavičius retaliated just before the horn sounded.
Twenty seconds into the second round, Kondratavičius unleashed a devastating inside elbow that opened a cut on Trócoli and sent him crashing to the canvas. Despite the severe impact, Trócoli showed resilience, scrambling back to his feet and disengaging after a brief clinch. Trócoli appeared to be struggling with the cut near his right eye, but an accidental low blow from Kondratavičius offered him a much-needed reprieve.
Following the restart, Kondratavičius wasted no time resuming his offensive, nearly securing a rear-naked choke just as the round concluded.
After largely controlling the first two rounds, Kondratavičius showed signs of fatigue in the third. This allowed Trócoli to dictate much of the action, though he lacked the stamina to capitalize with a finish. As the bout went to the judges' scorecards, the Latvian fighter was awarded his first UFC victory by unanimous decision (30-27, 29-27, 29-27).
