A major UFC title bout is reportedly planned after Dana White outlined the promotion`s priorities for 2026.

Following UFC 320 on Saturday night, the promotion`s president was questioned about a potential UFC event at the White House in 2026.

White clarified that no agreements for that card have been signed yet, refuting Conor McGregor`s recent claim of his official return.

Despite speculation about Ronda Rousey`s potential return for this landmark event, the White House is not currently the UFC`s primary focus.

Another significant event is scheduled in the coming months, potentially headlined by one of the roster`s top stars.

Report Suggests Ilia Topuria vs. Justin Gaethje for UFC Los Angeles in January

At the UFC 320 post-fight press conference, Dana White stated that the UFC`s current priority is to assemble a “massive” and “incredible” card for January.

This first major event of 2026 will officially mark the end of the promotion`s PPV model, as Paramount becomes the new home for UFC content.

It has been speculated that UFC might have been holding back some of its biggest names to launch their new broadcast deal with a significant impact.

White also confirmed at the press conference that the bout between Dan Hooker and Arman Tsarukyan would serve as a number one contender`s fight in the lightweight division.

Regarding the champion, Eurosport`s Alvaro Colmenero reported that Ilia Topuria is part of UFC`s plans for the significant January card in Los Angeles.

Colmenero further reported that Justin Gaethje is the targeted opponent for `El Matador` if this matchup materializes.

Ilia Topuria Could Be Joined by Fellow Georgian Champion in Los Angeles

In his post-fight interview after successfully defending the bantamweight title, Merab Dvalishvili expressed his eagerness to return at the earliest opportunity.

While UFC could allow the champion to pursue his dream of a fourth title defense in 2025, their plans for December might already be finalized.

Consequently, Dvalishvili might join Topuria at the major UFC event in January, especially after `El Matador` congratulated his fellow Georgian.

Fight fans will likely discover which bouts will headline the UFC`s December PPV event, marking the end of the ESPN era, in the coming weeks.
