Former heavyweight world champion Tyson Fury was seen observing the next generation of British boxers during the England Boxing Schoolboy Championships held in Newcastle over the weekend. He was joined by a notable figure from the boxing world.

Among those competing was Solomon Dubois, the younger brother of IBF champion Daniel Dubois. Solomon shared a photo on social media showing Fury among the spectators, accompanied by his family, including brother Shane and father John.

Solomon posted on Instagram: “Secret admirer Tyson Fury at my fight.”

Solomon reached the final of the 44-46kg category, representing Rainham, but was defeated by Leonard Crotty of Royston.

For the Dubois family, boxing is a deep-rooted tradition, with all members trained from a young age by their father, Dave.

The eldest brother, Daniel, 27, recently defeated Anthony Joshua in September and is scheduled for a rematch with Oleksandr Usyk on July 19, following his loss to the Ukrainian in 2023.

Daniel is known for famously performing hours of press-ups under the strict supervision of his father Dave, nicknamed Stan.

His sister, Caroline, 24, holds the current WBC lightweight championship title, and another brother, Prince, is also an amateur boxer.

Meanwhile, Tyson Fury, 36, who had recently watched his brother Tommy compete, is reportedly enjoying retirement after suffering two defeats to Oleksandr Usyk, 38, last year.

However, he recently reunited with his trainer Sugarhill Steward, fueling speculation about a potential comeback to face Anthony Joshua, 35.

The `Gypsy King` was photographed interacting with numerous fans at the national amateur boxing event in Tyneside.

Fury himself secured the ABA title, Britain’s most prestigious amateur boxing honor, in 2008 before transitioning to professional boxing.

Similar to the Dubois family, boxing is a family legacy for the Furys, with his brothers Tommy, 26, and Roman, 28, also holding unbeaten records in the sport.
