Former heavyweight world champion Tyson Fury has directly addressed and dismissed ongoing speculation regarding a potential comeback to professional boxing, stating he has no intention of returning to the ring.
Responding to widespread talk about a possible return, Fury questioned the motivation for such a move. “I hear a huge amount of talk about a possible return to boxing,” he said. “But why should I do it? More belts? I have 22 of them, why do I need that? I was knocked off track, credit to whoever did it.”
Fury expressed deep satisfaction with his career accomplishments, stating he has “traveled the world and returned home.” He is content with what he has achieved and is not eager to step back into a situation where he would inevitably “get hit.” He firmly stated, “I am very pleased with the result and do not rush to return to where I will get hit. I have retired and remain retired. I have nothing to prove to people.” These comments were made in a video shared on his Instagram account.
For context, it`s worth noting that last year, Fury suffered consecutive losses to Alexander Usyk. He had initially announced his retirement earlier this year in January.
