Heavyweight boxing star Anthony Joshua recently brought excitement to the checkout aisles at a Morrisons supermarket by posing for pictures with surprised shoppers.
The presence of the celebrated fighter unexpectedly turned the bagging area into a celebrity hotspot, astonishing locals in Watford who were simply doing their grocery shopping.

Joshua, affectionately known as “AJ”, seemed to be promoting his sponsor Lucozade while taking a turn on the supermarket tills. He graciously spent time interacting with fans who were thrilled by the unexpected encounter.

One delighted customer captured the moment with a selfie and shared it online, writing: “What perfect timing to pop into our local Morrisons. And meet the amazing @anthonyjoshua. What a lovely, smiley, friendly man. I hope they gave him the job.”

Another person praised his character, calling him “The most humble man I have ever met!”

These friendly interactions certainly give shoppers another reason to visit Morrisons.
This display of humility isn`t new for the multimillionaire boxer. Just recently in March, he surprised passengers by taking the public No32 bus to Kilburn Park Station.
The 35-year-old Joshua has not competed since his knockout defeat to Daniel Dubois, 27, at Wembley in September.
He recently returned from holidays in Nigeria and the Middle East and indicated his plans to fight again before the end of the year.
Speaking to ESPN Mexico, Joshua stated: “December, I will fight again. That`s when I want to fight again, I`ll take some time and I will go in December. I just want to get my body feeling good and then I`ll fight. It`s a simple job.”
His promoter, Eddie Hearn, had previously mentioned that the two-time world champion was dealing with an injury.
Joshua later confirmed the issue to DAZN: “I`m trying to get my body right. I have got to actually have a little surgery on my elbow. A small surgery sometime in May. I`m finalising the details. That will see me out of the gym for maybe six to eight weeks, and then when I`m healed, I will be back.”
A highly anticipated “Battle of Britain” match against Tyson Fury had been expected this year.
However, Fury, 36, announced a surprise retirement in January after losing twice to Oleksandr Usyk, 38, last year.

Eddie Hearn has stated they are waiting to see if Fury reverses his decision for the fifth time before confirming AJ`s next opponent. Meanwhile, Saudi boxing chief Turki Alalshikh mentioned being in discussions with Joshua regarding a new two-fight deal.
