Right from the opening bell, Gandra unleashed a relentless offensive, pushing Medina back to the cage. He overwhelmed Medina with a barrage of punches, culminating in a precise left hook that connected with Medina’s chin, sending him crashing face-first to the mat.
Although Medina showed immediate signs of recovery, the fight was already over. The referee intervened promptly, having observed that Medina was clearly incapacitated.
The official decision confirmed Ryan Gandra as the victor over José Medina by TKO (strikes) at the 0:41 mark of the first round.
This impressive victory advances ‘Problema’ Gandra’s professional record to 9-1. His previous significant win was also a first-round knockout against Trent Miller during last year’s Dana White’s Contender Series.
