Jake Paul has commented on Jon Jones’ exclusion from the UFC Freedom 250 card.
Jones had previously vacated his heavyweight title and retired rather than face interim champion Tom Aspinall. Yet, upon the announcement of the UFC White House event, the former two-division champion quickly re-entered the testing pool, signaling his desire to fight on June 14.
For months, rumors circulated that “Bones” would face Alex Pereira at the White House event.
Despite the speculation, Jones was conspicuously absent from the fight card announced last weekend. Instead, Pereira, who relinquished his light heavyweight title in pursuit of a third divisional championship, is scheduled to fight Ciryl Gane for the interim heavyweight title in the UFC Freedom 250 co-main event.
When questioned about Jones’ absence, UFC CEO Dana White jokingly stated that “Bones” was retired due to hip arthritis and that the UFC had not contacted him about fighting at the event.
Jones, however, countered, claiming he was in negotiations with UFC officials but felt they offered him an insufficient amount, thus preventing his potential final fight on June 14 from happening.
Displeased with White’s remarks, Jones has called for his release from the UFC if they believe he has no more to contribute.

MVP’s inaugural MMA event is scheduled for May 16, featuring a five-round featherweight main event between Ronda Rousey and Gina Carano, and a heavyweight co-main event with Francis Ngannou battling Philipe Lins. This will mark Netflix’s first live MMA broadcast.
With MVP having already secured notable fighters like Francis Ngannou, Ronda Rousey, and Gina Carano, the potential addition of Jones could pave the way for a highly anticipated clash between “Bones” and Ngannou, a fight fans are eager to see.
