Jake Paul states that his passion for promoting women`s boxing originated from Amanda Serrano`s remarkable journey to financial success.

Paul and his Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) team have become a leading platform for female fighters, securing a series of high-profile signings.

Recently, their growing roster has added names like Alycia Baumgardner, Savannah Marshall, Chantelle Cameron, and Ellie Scotney.

But it all began with Serrano in 2021, who joined them as Puerto Rico`s legendary seven-weight world champion.

At that time, Serrano was earning only £3,000 for her world title fights – now she is the highest-paid female boxer of all time.

Paul, speaking as a promoter, stated: “It just came from the organic relationship that was formed with Amanda Serrano. Seeing how entertaining and talented she was – one of the best boxers of all time, male or female – and how underpaid and underserved she was, not getting the recognition she deserved.”

Serrano, 36, has had two fights with Irish icon Katie Taylor, 38, losing both thrilling encounters by very close decisions.

And for her rematch – after earning over £1 million in the first fight – the New Yorker is believed to have banked over £5 million.

These boxing pioneers will now clash for a trilogy fight on July 11, returning to New York`s Madison Square Garden as part of a historic all-women`s fight card on Netflix.

Paul`s new top talents, including the British trio Marshall, Cameron, and Scotney, will all fight, showcasing MVP`s commitment to women`s boxing.

He said: “I think it turned into this bigger movement, and now you see women shining across all sports, like Caitlin Clark, etc. And now it`s happening in boxing; women are getting their equal and fair opportunity, and MVP has proven we can make mega-fights happen with women. And, arguably, they are more entertaining than many recent men`s fights we`ve seen.”

Serrano lost her rematch to Taylor on Paul`s undercard in November, when he defeated 58-year-old Mike Tyson in their controversial Netflix bout.

Now Paul, 28, returns to the ring against former middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., 39, on June 28, live on DAZN PPV.

He said: “Chavez and I have been going back and forth for a long time, and he has always been a great opponent on my list of people I wanted to fight. And now it makes perfect sense to go up against him as a former world champion and just continue to build my resume and get more time in the spotlight.”
