Preview ‘He’s on!’ Israel Adesanya Reacts to Alex Pereira’s Latest UFC Knockout

Alex Pereira`s prominent rivals expressed satisfaction with his championship victory at UFC 320.

At 38 years old, `Poatan` demonstrated his enduring prowess. The former UFC Middleweight Champion spectacularly recaptured his light heavyweight title from Magomed Ankalaev in the main event of UFC 320.

Pereira exerted relentless pressure from the start, leaving Ankalaev little opportunity to recover in the Octagon, culminating in a first-round TKO.

The T-Mobile Arena was charged with an electrifying atmosphere. Jiri Prochazka, Pereira`s two-time opponent, was visibly emotional as he witnessed the Brazilian reclaim his title from their shared adversary, Ankalaev.

From a lower weight class, Israel Adesanya also celebrated Pereira`s successful title reclamation.

Israel Adesanya`s Live Reaction to Alex Pereira Dethroning Magomed Ankalaev at UFC 320

Adesanya observed that Pereira displayed absolute seriousness and determination at UFC 320.

Prior to Ankalaev`s challenge at UFC 313, Adesanya had been the last fighter to defeat Pereira. Their rivalry spans four bouts across kickboxing and MMA, with Pereira`s only loss to Adesanya being a knockout in their most recent encounter.

Although Pereira did not get a chance to avenge that specific loss, he found redemption against Ankalaev, an undefeated champion with a remarkable 14-fight winning streak.

Adesanya shared his candid reactions to Pereira`s latest victory on his YouTube channel.

Observing Ankalaev being cornered by Pereira, Adesanya remarked, “Look at him behind the black line.”

Commenting on Pereira`s strategic positioning, Adesanya exclaimed, “Oh! He got him where he wanted.”

He emphatically stated, “He’s not messing around, this is serious, he’s not messing around.”

Adesanya continued, “Look at him, look, he’s activated, he’s on.”

He added, anticipating Pereira`s next moves, “I know it, I see the eyes, look at the eyes. He’s going. He has to go orthodox. Bro, he’s on.”

As Pereira began the ground and pound for the finish, Adesanya reiterated, “He’s on.”

Urging him on, he shouted, “Go, go, go finish it!”

Adesanya then let out a triumphant yell, “Oh!!!”

The former champion concluded his reaction to Pereira’s victory with a spirited “Chama.”

Israel Adesanya`s Historic Undisputed UFC Title Win: Six-Year Anniversary

Adesanya claimed UFC championship gold on this very date in 2019.

As the interim middleweight champion, Adesanya entered UFC 243 to face Robert Whittaker in a highly anticipated undisputed title unification bout.

`The Last Stylebender` successfully unified the middleweight title, delivering a knockout performance against Whittaker before an astounding crowd of 57,000 fans at Marvel Stadium.

Pereira, who would later become Adesanya`s most significant rival, made his UFC debut two years after this landmark event.
