Kickboxing powerhouse Glory has officially announced its landmark 100th anniversary event, scheduled to unfold over two thrilling days, June 13th and 14th. Each day promises a standalone main event, with the inaugural day featuring a highly anticipated rematch between Sergey Masloboyev and Tariq Khbabez.
The second day will culminate in a significant heavyweight clash, as Glory`s long-reigning champion, Rico Verhoeven, is set to face Russian contender Artem Vakhitov.
However, the event`s announcement has sparked controversy due to a significant policy reversal by Glory. The promotion, which had previously terminated contracts with fighters from Russia following the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, has now controversially reinstated Russian athletes to its active roster for this event.
