Preview Dillon Danis Wagers $85,000 on UFC 320, Eyeing Recovery After $150k Baseball Loss

Mixed martial artist Dillon Danis is placing a substantial bet, hoping his “brother” will deliver a massive payday at UFC 320 today.

Excitement is building as UFC 320 is set to commence in just a few hours at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas this Saturday night. With a card packed with significant fights, a surge of heavy betting activity is anticipated before the event officially kicks off on October 4.

While a well-known Premier League legend recently shared his two-fight prediction for the headline title bouts, the scale of his wager is significantly overshadowed by the enormous bet made by Dillon Danis.

Dillon Danis Aims for Over $250,000 if Alex Pereira Secures Victory at UFC 320

Danis` significant wager on UFC 320 is hardly a surprise, particularly given that one of the featured fighters has a close personal connection to him. Before his recent return to MMA and renewed focus on the UFC, Danis spent time training alongside one of the promotion`s premier athletes.

Alex Pereira is scheduled to face Magomed Ankalaev for the light heavyweight title in a highly anticipated rematch, following their initial clash in March of this year.

Pereira, who spoke highly of Danis following their training sessions, subsequently posted an image on his Instagram story. The post revealed his $85,000 bet on `Poatan` to win back the championship belt. A victory for Pereira, by any means, would net Danis a remarkable $250,070. The controversial fighter accompanied his post with the caption: “Riding with my brother tomorrow. Let’s go, champ!”

Many observers believe that Pereira has a significantly improved chance of winning this time, especially after he admitted to being at only 40 percent capacity during his first encounter with the Russian opponent.

Dillon Danis Suffered a Major Betting Loss Earlier This Year on a Baseball Prediction

Dillon Danis is no stranger to placing substantial wagers on various athletic competitions. Earlier this year, he publicly displayed another eye-watering betting slip on his Instagram story, which unfortunately resulted in a considerable setback.

On August 2, Danis placed a hefty $150,000 bet on the New York Yankees to defeat the Miami Marlins. However, the Marlins unexpectedly clinched the series with a decisive 2-0 shutout, leading to a significant loss for Danis.

As the inaugural Misfits MMA light heavyweight champion, Danis will undoubtedly be hoping that today`s UFC 320 bet can help him recoup some of his previous financial losses.
