Terence Crawford issued a clear warning to Canelo Alvarez, stating that there is absolutely nothing Canelo can do to defeat him, asserting his confidence extends even to a street fight scenario.

The undefeated American is set to challenge Canelo for his undisputed super-middleweight world title on September 13 in Las Vegas, a significant move up two weight classes for Crawford.

Canelo is scheduled to face Crawford on September 13 in Las Vegas.

Canelo had previously appeared dismissive of a potential clash, suggesting that a victory over Crawford, who started his career at a significantly lower weight, offered little benefit to his legacy.

This led to the Mexican boxing icon being questioned about the potential repercussions for his acclaimed record if he were to lose to the two-time undisputed champion, Crawford.

However, the composed Canelo, 34, responded coolly:

“He`s not gonna beat me. Don`t worry about it, he`s not going to beat me. I think this fight is going to be in the history books of boxing, for sure.”

Crawford, 37, quickly countered:

“For sure them belts are coming with me, they`re coming home with me. I`m taking them, and there ain`t nothing you can do about it come fight night. I promise you. You see I`m different than all the others ones.”

Canelo, who has secured titles across various weight divisions from 154lb to 175lb, retorted to Crawford`s assertion:

“You don`t look different. Nothing different.”

Crawford`s last fight took place in August of the previous year, where he defeated Israil Madrimov, 30, to claim the WBA light-middleweight title.

Meanwhile, Canelo recently added to his undisputed 168lb reign by defeating William Scull, 32, in May in Riyadh. He is now slated to headline the upcoming Netflix event against Crawford at the massive 65,000-seat Las Vegas Raiders stadium. Crawford remains convinced he is unbeatable by Canelo, inside the ring or elsewhere.

Crawford declared:

“Come on, man. You know what I do. I don`t have to talk about it, on the streets me against anybody, I ain`t ever gonna say another man can whoop me. That`s your answer there.”

Canelo immediately pushed back:

“We`re not talking about the streets we`re talking about boxing, the beautiful sport of boxing.”
