Major Australian City Populations are Basically at ‘Breaking Point’

By Sky News Australia

Sky News host Caleb Bond says major Australian cities like Sydney and Melbourne are basically at “breaking point” and won’t be able to handle the government’s migration target.

“The outer suburban rings keep growing and growing and growing,” Mr Bond told Saturday Morning Herald columnist Steve Price.

“There’s only so much time you can keep doing that until we get to the point where our cities are unmanageably big.

“We don’t have anywhere to put people at the moment … and no one has yet answered where these people are going to go.”

Here’s what others had to say:

It took me 1.5 hours today, to drive from Carrum Downs to Pakenham. I left at 10:30am. No unreasonable delays from roadworks, or accidents. Just the insane number of cars and trucks clogging the roads. Its a distance of approximately 35km and is all outer suburban and that includes 11km of it, being freeway travel at 100kmph. Its beyond absurdity here. And the drivers? Every shade of the rainbow, behind the wheel. Its just gotten too ridiculous to not point out that little reality, too.

Send the Migrants to Alice Springs for a certain amount of time, I guarantee the migrants will leave ASAP Problem solved.

Doesn’t the government have a plan for another 1.5 million?

The rapid changing face of Australia right now!

Theres NO Where For People to Live. Also Ive Noticed RICH Asian and Indian STUDENTS Are Buying Multi Million dollar, some of them Large Family Homes. Are Their FAMILIES Arriving to? Its becoming VERY UNFAIR for The Aussies Struggling.

Labor is in. Did anyone expect anything other than cronyism, feminism and corrupt groupism? The other side is even worse. most Aussies are not fools. They may not have academic qualifications, but they are shrewd. They would take scant notice of what is on Sky.

Rubbish Caleb. Formula One did totally rely on cigarette adverts, when they banned it many said that was the end of the sport, they were wrong. Footy will find other sponsors.

There are over 100,000 properties advertised for sale today. Around 30,000 of them are priced between $200 and $400k. We don’t have a housing problem. Some people are just too snobby!

Luke I
Put everyone in CBD. No need to travel. Get rid of cheap suburban shacks made of timber and gyprock. Plant many trees and make a forest. Ride your bike on the weekends there.
