2016 E. Jean Carroll Article on How to Sue for Sexual Harassment Strikingly Similar to False Trump Allegations

By CHARLES DOWNS

Before E. Jean Carroll sued President Trump on phony sex accusations, she was instructing other women on how to do the same thing.

E. Jean Carroll wrote an article in 2016 titled “Ask E. Jean: Should I Sue My Fraudulent Boss (and Ex) for Sexual Harassment?” Carroll’s article reads similar to her lawsuit against President Trump, which she filed in 2022, almost 6 years after she wrote the article. A New York Jury recently ruled that Trump did not rape Caroll, as her lawsuit claims.

Carroll’s unfounded lawsuit claims that in the 1990s, she and Trump ended up in a dressing room at the Bergdorf Goodman department store in Manhattan. The unfounded lawsuit claims the door was shut, and Trump forcefully kissed her, pulled down her tights, and had sex with her.

The similarities between Carroll’s article and her lawsuit are striking.

A passage from Carroll’s “Ask E. Jean: Should I Sue My Fraudulent Boss (and Ex) for Sexual Harassment?” reads, “Worse, he’s insinuating himself upon me, grabbing my breasts when no one is looking, inviting me to a posh hotel for sex, things like that. I’m thinking of suing him for sexual harassment. Or should I threaten to expose him to partners and suppliers, and negotiate an exit package for a lump sum of money if I agree to stay quiet? Then I could start a jewelry company and live the life I love. ”

E.Jean Carroll’s other writings read like bad Carrie Bradshaw articles with titles including: “ASK E. JEAN: SHOULD I KEEP THE DREAM OR THE DREAM GUY?”, “ASK E. JEAN: I’M SUDDENLY NO LONGER ATTRACTED TO MY FIANCÉ”, “ASK E. JEAN: HOW DO I FIX MY HORRIBLE SEX LIFE?”, “ASK E. JEAN: SHOULD I IGNORE MY HUSBAND WHEN HE DOESN’T RETURN MY CALLS?”, and “ASK E. JEAN: HELP, I’M IN LOVE WITH THREE WOMEN.”

During the civil trial, it was revealed that Ms. Carroll’s lawsuit also reads like a Law and Order SVU episode.

When asked at trial if she was a Law and Order SVU fan, Ms. Carol answered yes. With today’s latest revelation, many are wondering if Ms. Carroll is a Sex in the City fan too.
