Ailin Perez extended her impressive unbeaten streak to six bouts, securing a commanding unanimous decision victory over Macy Chiasson at UFC Mexico. Right from the opening minute of the first round, Perez showcased her grappling prowess by executing her initial takedown. Despite this, Chiasson cleverly countered, actively seeking a kneebar submission and establishing a body lock from Perez’s back, which allowed her to control a significant portion of the round. However, Perez demonstrated resilience, managing to reverse the position and land another takedown in the final seconds of the stanza.

The second round mirrored the first, with Perez swiftly securing another takedown early on. Although the referee temporarily halted the action and stood the fighters up due to a perceived lack of ground activity, Perez wasted no time in returning Chiasson to the canvas, where she maintained control for the remainder of the round.

The third round continued the trend of Perez’s dominant ground game. She once again took Chiasson down, establishing a comfortable position in half guard. Following prompts from the referee to increase action, Perez delivered a series of short, effective elbows. As Chiasson attempted to scramble and escape the precarious situation, Perez seamlessly transitioned to her opponent’s back, securing her hooks. While Chiasson eventually used the fence to fight her way back to her feet as the clock wound down, it was too late to mount any significant offense, cementing Perez’s control throughout the fight.
The judges unanimously scored the bout 29-28, 29-28, and 29-28, all in favor of Ailin Perez, highlighting her comprehensive performance.
